A Scottish Sunset with Style

10th of October 2012 and it's been another nice and clear day.

The sunset however was unusually clear .

The sun is setting behind Eigg to the left and the 'peaks' to the right are those of Rum

Morar Sands

This is the view from the bridge on the road to Mallaig. Looking west along the River Morar to where it meets the sea and you can just make out Rum on the horizon.

The view to the East of the bridge where the very short River Morar meets the sea from Loch Morar.

A Rib Trip to Eigg

On an unusually still evening, I took the rib for a spin straight out to Eigg and then followed the Eastern shore south and back again.

Averaged 24 knts and approx 35 mins crossing time.

Took the dogs for a walk and swim on a glorious day but with a very chilly North wind.

Sea is very clear and you can just see Skye (Sleat) and the Cuillins in the distance.
